About LIBDC

The Long Island Business Development Council was established in 1969 and over the years has been a moving force behind Long Island's economic development. It has been successful in aiding Long Island business to expand, attract new business to the region and create new jobs.

The Council is comprised of major government officials from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, New York State, as well as County, Town and Village Industrial Development agencies and Economic Development departments.

The LIBDC's membership includes influential bankers, real estate brokers, builders, developers, utilities, corporations, colleges, universities, law firms, accountants, newspaper publishers, and many other interested parties.

The LIBDC helps its members form a close association with each other while providing a platform for an honest evaluation of Long Island's economy and future . It helps seek available developmental funds and information on land use.
